Tropical Battery doubles down on SOLAR
Energy storage company Tropical Battery is looking to boost income through further diversification into solar.
The segment is not entirely new, but it’s the reason behind the recent acquisition of a 50 per cent stake in KAYA, a solar solutions company operating in the Dominican Republic, in a cash-and-shares deal. KAYA Energy Group is a Santo Domingo-based engineering procurement and construction company that has been providing renewable energy solutions to residential, commercial and industrial customers since 2010.

Tropical Battery enters The Dominican Republic
Tropical Battery Company Limited, through its subsidiary Tropical Renewable Energy, has entered into an agreement to acquire 50 per cent interest in Dominican Republic-based solar photovoltaic engineering, procurement and construction company KAYA Energy Group in a cash and share offer.

Mr. Hill brings a wealth of experience in mergers and acquisitions intelligence and as a consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where he provided support on projects related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, electric mobility, water resource management and citizen security.
